The certificate of Origin is the instrument to establish evidence on the origin of goods imported into any country. Our Association has been approved by the ministry of Industry and commerce, Government of India, New Delhi, to issue Certificate of Origin by inserting the name of our Association under serial no.12 under the state of Tamil Nadu in Appendix 35-B to the Export and import Policy and Handbook of Procedures 2002-2007(Vol.1).Accordingly, our Association will be issuing certificate of origin (non-preferential) to the Exporters.
The procedure in this regard as follows:
 Members should submit their application for issue of certificate of origin as per the format along with the copy of the Invoice
The Application should be signed by one of the authorized signatories of the company.
The Exporters are required to submit one copy of Invoice along with certification fee of Rs.50/- per certificate by way of Cash/Cheque/DD/Pay Order.
Member may also remit their fees in bulk by Cheque/Pay Order/DD. The amount remitted may cover the anticipated fees payable by the members for one month, two months or three months .On receipt of the amount the association will issue a pass-book and an entry of the paid will be made in the pass book and authenticated by the authorized signatory of the Association.
Since issue of receipts for money received and handling of huge cash everyday is causing not only inconvenience but also delays in issuing of Certificates of origin. Therefore, all members are requested to make use of the above facility and remit bulk amounts in advance.
Further, it has been decided that for issue of certificate of origin, the exporters who are not the members of Association, shall produce any one of the following documents as evidence of identity as well as in contacting them in case of need:
RCMC issued by AEPC / any other Export council
Any Certificate issued by the State (or) Central Government (or) any other Assocition, etc.
