Training
Training is going to be one of the major impact areas for the ERC. The ERC will act as a central point
where training in various topics will be provided to the interested members. This training may take the
form of seminars, classroom sessions, CBTs etc. it is envisioned that the CBT lab should be open to all
and people should be able to walk in and use the CBT facility after paying a nominal fee. The training fees
would vary from session to session depending on several factors such as nature and intensity of inputs, the
profile of trainer required, duration of the training module, usage of internal and external resources etc.
But the vision would always be to keep to realistic affordable costs while maintaining the quality of inputs
rather than earn profits so that maximum participation from the cluster can be ensured.
The other educational institutes in the cluster should be able to use the facilities at the ERC to conduct
their own industrial training courses. In essence the ERC will have world-class training facilities and these
can be extended to all cluster members for use at a nominal cost.
