E-readiness Centre Membership System
Portal
The ERC will also be responsible for maintaining cluster portal and integrating it into the national portal. The portal team will generate content at a steady pace and will make sure that the portal stays up to date. One of the drawbacks highlighted in the diagnostic was tat while most of the organizations had their websites they were not updated or interactive. This would be an important area of work for the ERC.

The portal team can also be used to provide web development services to the members. It must be noted that these people might need advanced development software for these purposes depending on the architecture of the portal.
°  Cluster mapping
°  On-line registration for the portal
°  On-line membership of the ERC
°  Information gateway
°  Product portfolios
°  Resource databases
°  Interactive information exchange (blogging)
°  Cluster news
°  Discussion groups / chat rooms

Business Development Services
The ERC can also provide easy interface with various business development services. The ERC can offer setting up of a information exchange for the suppliers and buyers in the cluster. The ERC can function as a B2B information exchange. The goal will be to enable a person looking for a particular service, by helping him to get information on all the people in the cluster providing that service. Similarly service providers can locate people in the market for their services. Currently this is a major problem in the cluster. The ERC can fill an important gap in this regards.

Main Business Development Services
°  Liaisons with ISVs
°  Listings of raw material suppliers
°  Database of ancillary units
°  Transport and logistics

Consultancy
The ERC can offer consultancy services to units in the cluster. These consultancy services would mainly be in the domain of ICT but might also encompass other related areas. The ERC will locate and appoint consultancy resources (consultants) and deploy them in the cluster as and when requested. The USP here is that the ERC can act as an agency working on the side of the cluster member as they are the stake holders in the ERC.

The consultancy function will also provide a big boost to the aim of ICT adoption in the cluster as the ERC will be able to provide better advice to people wanting to adopt ITC in their enterprises. Types of consultancy as under:
°  One to one discussions for specifics issues related to ICT
°  On hardware, software and training requirements of members
°  Advisory help in process transactions and digitization
