Ludhiana, Dec 6 (KNN) Six entrepreneurs from Ludhiana have bagged the state-level Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Awards which were given on the sidelines of the first day of the Progressive Punjab Investor Summit-2019, taking place at Mohali.

A total of 14 businessmen of the state were honoured at the awards ceremony, presided over by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. The awards have been given to those industrialists who have adopted technologies for production of quality products, which will help to boost revenue and employment generation.

Motivating the awardees, Industries and Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora said that the awards would be instrumental in motivating other MSMEs to adopt such techniques and modern practices. 

The awardees from Ludhiana include Citizen Press Components in the Automobiles & Auto Parts category; Kudu Knit Process Private Limited, and Duke Fashion (India) Limited in Textiles; Crystal Electric Company Private Limited in Engineering; Consern Pharma Limited in Pharmaceuticals; and Falcon Garden Tools Private Limited in the Hand Tools category.

Those present at the awards ceremony included Sunder Sham Arora, Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries & Investment Promotion) Vini Mahajan, and director Industries Sibin C.
