Epson India showcased the SureColor range of wide-format printers for the both photographic and signage markets during PrintExpo 2018 held in Chennai from 8 to 10 June.

“In the last couple of years, we have managed to become the dominant force when it comes to eco-solvent wide-format printers with almost 70% market share in the country,” said Alok Singh Chandel, regional sales manager-south, Epson India.

The SureColor SC 80670 prints at a speed up to 95.1sqm/hr and is designed for indoor and commercial signage applications.

“The signage series of SureColor was launched with only four-colour variant but the demand from the customers has ensured that we expand the colour gamut. The S series is now available up to ten colours,” said Chandel.

According to Chandel, the company has been selling around 30 machines of the SureColor S series every month. The kit is available in sizes up to 64-inches wide and uses Epson’s Ultrachrome inks.

Apart from a raft of desktop printers, the Epson stand also displayed its flagship SureColor F2000 direct-to-garment printer.

The F2000 can print directly on cotton and poly-cotton t-shirts, bag, pillow covers, handkerchief, among others. With a printing size of 16x20-inches, it can print on both dark and light colour garments.
