New Delhi: The 2019-20 budget had proposed a new payment platform for India’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)--defined as enterprises whose investments are under Rs 10 crore in the cases of manufacturing units and under Rs 5 crore in the case of service units--to enable filing of bills and online tracking of payments from government agencies, a major source of their cash flow.
The textiles ministry had launched the schemes for harmonised growth of the power loom sector in terms of improvement in infrastructure facilities, market development to overcome the lack of preparatory/pre-loom facility in power loom clusters.
Coimbatore: In a bid to attract more beneficiaries to the unemployed youth employment generation programme (UYEGP), the State government has increased the investment limit for trading and service sectors from Rs 1lakh and Rs 3lakh respectively to Rs 5lakh. Under the scheme, unemployed youth are offered 25% of the project cost as loan subsidy to start small businesses.
India will continue to seek new markets through trade negotiations, including the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Wednesday. He also said the detractors of proposed trade deals should maintain silence until the framework is made public.
