Sivaraj Spinning Mills, Dindigul has revolutionized spinning industry by introducing latest technology available in the field. Quality is the sole motto of the group and efforts are taken to provide the best amongst the best to the customers. Started in 1981, by our Chairman, Shri. P S Veluswamy, with 6000 spindles, the unit makes headway under the ingenious leadership of Mr. K. Sivaraj, a textile graduate from USA. To ensure quality, the mission starts with the purchase of cotton.

Today its a vertically integrated plant, with 100,000 spindles & 3000 manpower resources we offer products and services on par with global standards. Installation of the latest machineries and employing skilled and experienced resources rightly supports our commitment of providing best quality to our customers.

Climate-controlled cotton godown stores 6-months of cotton stock at any time, to ensure a year-round steady supply to customers. Investment in expansion, modernization and maintaining the highest levels of production quality standards make sure to meet the specific production needs of the clients.

SPINNING

To ensure quality, the operations kick off with the purchase of raw cotton, inspected by the Management and purchased on site from Gujarat and USA. The supporting dedicated and trained workforce ensures that consistent standards are constantly maintained at all levels of the process. We have the capacity to produce 70 tonnes of yarn every day. These machines are fitted with auto-doffing and are attached to link corners. Furthermore, the Uster quantum cleavers used in them have the ability to catch and remove polypropylene contamination along with other contaminants.

Knitting

Knitting is conversion of the material into knitted fabric which is then used to make T-shirts, inners and more. The knitting unit is equipped with 270 modern knitting machines and produces an A to Z list of knitted fabrics that include Single Jersey, Rib, Interlock , Fleece, Terry and more. The hi-leg machines used have the capacity to produce higher roll weight of up to 200 kgs.

Warping

The warping section is equipped with a state-of-the-art Benninger Warping Machine which can produce up to 2 lakh metres per day. That’s 73 million metres per annum. Sectional weaving facility is also made available.

Sizing

Sizing is a protective process and rightly called the heart of the weaving stage. Advanced Benninger and Karlmayer sizing machines with Pleva attachment are used in this critical stage to ensure quality demands are met. Auto-creel facilities are then used to further reinforce quality. Has the capacity to produce 2 lakh metres of sized beams per day.

Packing

Roll packing or bale packing or pallet packing is facilitated for local supply as well as export, based on the needs of the customers.

Looms

The looms section is equipped with 230 cutting-edge wider width and narrow width machines. State-of-the-art Toyota and Picanol looms with Dobby and Cam with e–shed facilities power the production of 75,000 metres per day. The facility produces an extensive count ranging from 10x10s to 100x120s and thread count ranging from 150 to 1500. The loom section is safeguarded with 24/7 online and offline quality checking to ensure flawless output.

Inspection

Aside from the numerous quality checks carried out at various stages, every inch of the fabric is physically inspected before the product reaches the customers. 25 inspection machines attached with centralized exclusive software to analyze the cause of defects and take preventive action. Inspection carried out under American 4 point system (24 points per 100 linear metres) is followed and up to 1 lakh metres is inspected per day.
