The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) is launching four new courses for professionals next month, both members and non-members, a senior official said today. 

NEW DELHI: Faced with increasing number of complaints under the anti-profiteering rules, the Finance Ministry will soon come out with a standard operating procedure (SOP) for handling grievances relating to over- charging after GST roll out. 

With a likely shortfall in GST collections for 2017-18, the government is expected to hold back a big chunk of unallocated Rs 1.2 lakh crore of IGST (integrated goods and services tax) to ensure the fiscal deficit doesn’t slip by more than 20 basis points.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has reached an agreement with the Centre over the purview of traders in the state who have registered for GST. Of the total 1.83 lakh GST registered traders in the state, 1.50 lakh will come under the purview of the state government and the remaining 33,000 under the Centre.
